Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania (MRC Tas) is a not-for-profit organisation working to support and empower culturally diverse community members living in Tasmania. We strive to ensure Tasmanians from a culturally and linguistically diverse background are supported, settled and able to lead fulfilling lives.
Together with mainstream services and organisations, we work to foster a more socially inclusive society. That means ensuring Tasmanian services are responsive and culturally inclusive to all people from multicultural communities.
Our vision is for an equitable, just, culturally diverse and inclusive society. Through the delivery of effective, targeted and meaningful services, we aim to encourage and support culturally and linguistically diverse community members to reach their potential.
Since 1979, MRC Tas has been drawing on its core values to assist people from migrant and refugee backgrounds to find their place in an inclusive Tasmanian society. Our mission has evolved to meet the changing needs of our community.
