Speaking to the Media – a workshop for Community Leaders

Community Leaders from a migrant/humanitarian background are invited to this workshop with Lucie Cutting to learn about the media industry & how to get media coverage for your projects.
Lucie Cutting is a radio producer and presenter with ABC Radio Hobart, producing state-wide program Your Afternoon. Lucie is also co-creator and editor of The Pin, a website dedicated to exploring race, culture and identity in Australia.
The workshop will cover:
• different types of interviews and how to prepare for them
• when and how to approach media with your story
• media releases
• how to manage social media
