Play2Learn is a fun time for you to share with your child. Play2Learn gives your child the chance to learn, grow and prepare for school. Play2Learn is often conducted as part of the ‘It Takes a Village’ program model. In this situation, newly arrived humanitarian entrants with children aged 0 – 5 years are welcome to attend.

Come and join us for:

  • Lots of play activities
  • Craft
  • Healthy lunch
  • Music & story time
  • Fun & friendship
  • Support with parenting

‘It Takes a Village’ is a multicultural program for newly arrived families. It incorporates several strategies to help families settle in to new communities, as well as to provide early childhood development experiences and support with school life.

During the Covid-19 pandemic the ‘It Takes a Village’ Play to Learn program is continuing to support families by providing  well being checks,  weekly  home packages accompanied with video messaging and parenting ideas.

MRC Tas is pleased to partner with Save the Children to deliver this program.

Funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs. Visit www.homeaffairs.gov.au for more information.
