We are looking for volunteers in the Greater Hobart area to meet with older people at least once a fortnight for companionship and support, including with activities such as shopping and engaging in social activities.

Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania (MRC Tas) is funded to deliver this free service to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background consumers living in their own homes and receiving a Home Care Package.
Volunteer Visitors will:
- Meet with the consumer (client) regularly for social engagement, including providing opportunities to maintain and enjoy their interests and hobbies
- Support the consumer to attend to everyday activities such as visiting the shops or accessing other services
Days and times will depend on individual client needs and the volunteer’s availability, but is limited to Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
To volunteer in this position you must register as a volunteer with MRC Tasmania and provide a current National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable registration. Please register your interest in volunteering by filling out the form below or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
