To celebrate Refugee Week 2020 (14 – 20 June), we are sharing the winning entries from our Storytelling competition, held during May. The MRC Tas Storytelling competition has supported children and young people aged 6 – 18 years from a refugee background to tell a story using any medium. We have had submissions in the form of written stories, video, art, and comics!
Through participating in the competition, participants have had an opportunity to develop their skills and build confidence in their ability to participate in mainstream art and writing competitions.
A big congratulations to the winners, and a big thanks to the following organisations for supporting this project!
Multicultural Council of Tasmania, Wide Angle Tasmania Inc., City of Hobart, City of Launceston Official, Glenorchy City Council, Moonah Arts Centre, The Story Island Project, Rural Australians for Refugees Tasmania.
