Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania (MRC Tas) is a not-for-profit organisation that works alongside people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, so individuals and communities throughout lutruwita/Tasmania thrive. We provide effective, targeted and meaningful services in the South, North and Northwest of the State.
This role is part of the Corporate Services Team which provides specialist organisational support in regards to financial management, risk and compliance, IT, communication and information management, HR, volunteer coordination and administration for the organisation.
About the Role
We are seeking a professional and highly organised Senior Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to the CEO and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Executive Office. This role plays a critical part in facilitating Board and committee meetings, preparing high-quality reports to support informed decision-making, and managing confidential information with discretion. Operating with a high degree of autonomy and sound judgement, the Senior Executive Assistant will also support coordination across the executive team, lead the planning of key organisational events and initiatives, and contribute to the continuous improvement of executive systems and processes. The role may also involve representing the CEO in meetings or other forums as required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in a senior administration or executive support role, including demonstrated expertise in providing high-level executive and governance support.
- High-level organisational and project management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, including proficiency in preparing high-quality business reports.
- Experienced in analysing and preparing reports for executives/boards.
- Skilled in data presentation (graphs, charts, etc.).
- Discreet and trustworthy with confidential matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital systems.
- Builds strong relationships across all levels.
Desirable: - Experience in community or multicultural sectors.
