Census 2021 Information Session for Multicultural Communities
July 27 @4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The Census counts every person and home in Australia. It’s conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) every five years. Census night is Tuesday 10 August 2021.
Census data helps build a better future for us all – from linking migrants to the right community services, to knowing where to direct local healthcare support.
From early August, most households will get instructions in the mail to complete their Census online. Some will receive a paper form instead. You can start as soon as you get your instructions if you know where you’ll be on Census night. Your personal information is kept confidential.
To learn more about the Census please attend our information session on Friday 27th of July from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.
Language support will be provided for Oromo, Nepali, Tigrinya and Arabic
Syed Ashraf and Christine Boonstra from the Census will discuss:
- What the Census is and why it is important
- Where you can find help or information on the Census in your language
- Where face to face help can be found to fill out the Census
- How your personal information is kept private and confidential
