Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania (MRC Tas) is looking for volunteers in the Greater Hobart area to meet with older people at least once a fortnight for companionship and support, including with activities such as shopping and engaging in social activities.
The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) is funded by the Australian government. The scheme plays an important role in providing companionship for older people living in a Government Funded Aged Care Facility or living in their own homes and receiving a Home Care Package.
