As part of a new Road Safety Campaign ‘Visiting Drivers’, the Road Safety Advisory Council (RSAC) has information available for international tourists and new Tasmanians on a newly-created website. The information includes instructional videos, flyers and posters, and an integrated google map.
MRC Tas collaborated with State Growth to help them achieve their road safety messages for people new to Tasmania. MRC Tas Bicultural workers were engaged to make audio recordings of the messages, and a link to the MRC Driving Program SoundCloud has been included on the brochures and on the RSAC website.
The result is that people can listen to important driving information in Karen, Tigrinya, Amharic, Hazaragi, Nepali and Mandarin on the MRC Tas Sound Cloud channel. This helps to make the roads safer for everyone.
